How to maintain the inflatable sup board

When you spend a sum of money on an inflatable paddle board, you can't wait to use it. But how to extend the life of your paddle board is also very important. Let's take a look at how to maintain your inflatable sup board.

1.Inflation pressure

We recommend a general inflation pressure of 12psi. If you are playing a game or two people use it, you can increase the pressure . Please confirm the maximum air pressure that your board can withstand, and avoid exposing the maximum air pressure to your board frequently. This easily consumes the life of the board.

2.What to pay attention to during transportation

In the car: Using a travel bag is the best way. When the board is exposed, avoid placing sharp objects with the board.

Roof: Use the roof rope and tie it to the roof rack correctly.

3.What to pay attention to in different waters

  • Areas with shallow water depth

When you paddle a paddle board in shallow waters, stones, branches, rocks and other hard objects that are not easy to be found may wear your board.

  • Coastline

At the coastline, special attention should be paid to the depth of the upper and lower shore water. When the water depth is not enough, it is most likely that the rudder breaks or the base is damaged when going ashore. Place the board on the water when the water depth is greater than above the knee. And quickly glide through the wave area to avoid the waves hitting the shore again.

  • Rock shore

Coral reefs, rocks, and barnacles on the rocky shore will scratch and damage the boards. When going to the rocky shore for sup activities, you need good control skills to avoid the possibility of collision.

4.Avoid exposure to the sun

Never expose your inflatable paddle board to continuous exposure to strong sunlight. Regardless of whether your board is inflated or not inflated, the ultraviolet rays of the sun will make the color of the board lighter. Prolonged exposure to the sun will also cause the glue to separate. Heat may melt the glue or cause it to crack. If you are doing sup activities on the beach or lake all day, please put the board in the shade every time you go ashore.

5.Clean properly

Please clean your board every time you finish using it.

Please at least wipe with a towel or wash with clean water. And after drying in the shade, roll it up for storage. Maintaining good cleaning habits can extend the life of the board.

Cleaning recommendations:

  • When cleaning, please close the inflation valve tightly to prevent water from entering the inside of the board.
  • Rinse the card slot at the tail with clean water, where it is the easiest to get stuck.
  • Rinse the front and back of the board with plenty of water to wash off the salt in the sea water.
  • Use a soft-bristled brush to clean the panel to make it cleaner.
  • After rinsing, use Dare to wipe and place it in a cool place to air dry. Or store it immediately after drying i in the sun.
  • Make sure to dry before storing. Otherwise, it may cause mold or odor to the board.

6.How to store

When storing the paddle board, please do not place the board in a water heater or an area with a heat source or electricity. The best choice when placing the board in a cool place.
